To steer out of a skid if the rear of your car is skidding:
look and steer where you want to go.
take your foot off the gas pedal, turn your wheels in the opposite direction of the skid, and do not oversteer.
take your foot off the gas pedal, keep you front wheels straight and do not oversteer.

if you leave garbage at the beach, in a public park, or at a campground.

come to a complete stop.
